A Girl's Best Friend

A few weeks back, there was a day where I just needed my mom. A phone call later, plans to visit for an upcoming weekend were in the works. This past weekend she came, and her visit was just what I needed to get out of the inexplicable funk I had been in before her trip. We shopped, ate, went to Disneyland, and caught up on some much-needed sleep; by Sunday night, I was a new person. Airports always make me emotional, so dropping her off was a sad goodbye, but the time I spent with her this weekend – and some fun upcoming events – will make these next two weeks before Thanksgiving fly by.
